How I came to own this book:
My mother purchased it a book fair for my children, several years ago.
Why I like this book:
Jazzy Miz Mozetta is a colorful children’s picture book both literally and figuratively. It teaches children, that old is a relative term and that you are only as old as you feel. On this particular night, of which the book is set, Miz Mozetta is feeling youthful, but sadly finds that her friends are not. When she hears the beat coming from a boom box across the street that a pair of youngsters is “bumping”, she sashays over, only to be told she’s welcome to watch, since she doesn’t know the new dances they are doing. Soon the pair discovers that even old can be new.
I like this book because of its personal connotations that remind me of my own grandmother. She shared with me, her own mother’s love of dancing and abilities to it well.
This is a great book for children and adults alike.
